Two four-die forging devices for 30 MN forging presses have been manufactured at JSC Tyazhpressmash works (Ryazan, Russia) and delivered to machine-building enterprises in China. JSC Tyazhpressmash has started designing new four-die forging device for a 125 MN forging press to forge ingots of up to 2650 mm in cross-section.

New paper written in Russian by A.M.Volodin and V.A.Lazorkin and titled "On advantages of ingots forging in hydraulic forging presses fitted with four-die forging devices" ("О достоинствах технологии ковки слитков на гидравлических ковочных прессах в четырехбойковых ковочных устройствах") has appeared in Publications section.

4-DIE FORGING DEVICE

Four-die forging device has been designed for four-side radial forging of ingots, billets and blanks in wide range of shapes and grades. The device allows for production of high-quality forged products, including those of hard-to-deform steels and alloys and significantly increases technical and economic performance of forging.

In recent years JSC Tyazhpressmash has designed and delivered 4 forging devices by orders of Russian companies OAO Bummash, VSMPO AVISMA Corporation, OOO SSM Tyazhmash. Our own plant has two 20MN open-die forging presses equipped with these devices where over 40,000 tons of forgings have been produced.

And spring-actuated four-die forging device (New) for forging presses and hammers.

HYDRAULIC FORGING PRESSES AND AUTOMATED FORGING SYSTEMS FOR FOUR-DIE RADIAL FORGING

Proposed hydraulic forging presses and automated forging systems (New) are designed for forging of ingots and billets with cross-sectional size of 100 mm to 1500 mm and weight of 50 kg to 40 tons in wide range of grades and sections.
